Anchor Line Restaurant
|
|
Fresh local seafood! According to many, the Anchor Line has
the best fried seafood in Charleston. It's just a shack on
Folly Road, where you eat off Styrofoam plates, on picnic
tables in the screened-in porch enjoying the breeze and view of the
marsh where your meal was caught. The fried seafood and blue
crab gumbo is wonderful. It looks like a dump, but it tastes
great.

Barrier Island Surf Shop
- La Cocina
|
|
The sign is a little misleading.
The Barrior Island surf shop is a bar. They still sell some
gear, but more people come to hang out and drink than shop. La
Cocina is the perfect cure for beer munchies. Get a big
California style burrito, fresh tacos or nachos and keep on drinking
with local Folly Beach surfers.

Crosby's Fish & Shrimp
|
|
Talk about fresh, every morning they
catch their own fish, shrimp, oysters, croakers and whitings with
their own boats and from their own fishing pier. They will
wrap it up for you, but you have to cook it. For a great Folly
Beach picnic, take a cooler to Crosby's, pick up some freshly caught
seafood, and grill it on a public barbeque grill at the Folly Beach
County Park. When its this fresh, it doesn't matter how you
season it - it's gonna be good. Crosby's is just outside the
Folly Beach city limits.

|
Indoor or outdoor family dining right in the heart of Folly Beach on
the main strip. The food and atmosphere is fun. Tall bar

talk, or watch the eclectic beach traffic go by. You can get
seafood by the bucket and throw your shells and bones into another
bucket through a hole in the middle of the table. Its casual,
inexpensive and very busy at peak hours.
