Custom Surfboards

Custom made surfboards are the key to discovering your potential as a surfer. Each custom board can be designed to fit your particular style, ability, preference, wave type and virtually everything in between. You simply tell us your height & weight, surfing experience and the type of waves you most frequently ride, and we will have your board shaped to best fit you and your preferences.

For the experienced surfer looking for a custom board, a series of more advanced questions are asked: type of nose, type of rail, type of tail, amount of rocker in the nose & tail, amount of glass, fin system and what kind of finish.
 

Contrary to popular belief, custom made surfboards are not necessarily more expensive than “off the rack” surfboards.  We feature high end, custom surfboards hand crafted by Tim Bessell our shaper of choice out of San Diego.  Tim has been shaping all varieties of surfboards in southern California since the 70s.  After spending a few years shaping in Hawaii Tim has also perfected the art of the big wave "gun" surfboards in addition to funboards and shortboards.  Any of these boards can be customized by Tim.
