The
Shredder brand of soft surfboards is the best way to introduce
yourself or your children to surfing. Shredder soft surfboards
bridge the gap between cheap, low quality surfboards and expensive
fiberglass or wood surfboards. Shredders are “real” surfboards with
a softer surface, making it more user friendly with beginners and
kids.
Soft surfboards are very durable and can take more abuse than
regular fiberglass boards. Most beginners’ surfboards are poorly
shaped, making them hard to turn, which makes surfing more
difficult. Maneuverability and turning on waves is what surfing is
all about. Shredder soft surfboards are manufactured by using a
closed
cell foam core construction with an air craft grade vinyl cover. To
provide additional rigidity and strength, Shredder soft surfboards
have a sturdy wooden stringer down the center of the board.
Cheap technology “sponge” boards bend in the middle and break easily.
Surfboards should be rigid – NEVER buy a surfboard without a wooden
stringer system. Shredder’s innovative design offers a durable,
inexpensive board that performs like a much more expensive board.
Shredder
soft surfboards are a good choice for parents seeking a beginner
board for the kids. They are much less expensive and dangerous than
traditional fiberglass or wood boards. Affordable, reliable, durable
and easy to use, the Shredder soft surfboards are the perfect board
for novices.
Even if you're not
a kid and you want to learn to surf, Shredder makes full sized
shortboards and longboards built to support adults up to 230 lbs.
These soft trainer boards by Shredder are the closest thing we have
seen to real surfboards in a padded board.
Shredder offers innovative design and a wide variety of board sizes
and colors. Each board includes a leash and a 3 fin set. Repair kits
for the vinyl cover and replacement fins are available. Just wax up
your new Shredder soft surfboard and hit the water!
Note: 9'0", 8'2",

The shape of the board is wider, providing a large surface that is easy to stand
on. The classic style is smaller and maneuverable, great for learning tricks.

Maintenance Shredder soft surfboards are made from
advanced materials based on a closed cell foam and vinyl, and are
different from glass boards. The useful tips below will help
your board last for years.
1. To avoid slipping, apply
surfing wax on needed areas, or install an optional soft deck.
Use a coin to tighten the screws as
needed, if screws do not tighten properly, cut one or two screw
threads with a cutter for a better fit.
2. If there is a tear or a hole,
glue a patch as soon as possible to prevent sand and water from
getting inside the board. Use the sunset graphic patch, or in
an emergency use duct tape.
When the board is exposed to the heat of
the sun or left inside a hot car, the air inside the vinyl cover can
expand. Also, if the board is used with the drain screw loose
or has a small unpatched hole in the vinyl, water may leak in.
In both cases stand the board nose up in the shade, then drain any
air or water by loosening the drain screw.
3. Never compress or crush the
board, although it will not "ding", the board can be damaged by
crushing. Always transport it in a manner which will not damage
your board. We recommend using a padded surf bag to protect
your board, and the racks with strap guards to avoid denting the
board rails.
